Salary: €4.500 - €5.500 gross per month based on 40 hours per week

Role purpose
The Manager Data for Toolstation Europe is an essential role to help the business make data driven decisions. You will be the lead of a small team which is responsible for all data in the business. You will support and partner the business to transform the way that everyone uses data. Utilising Google’s BigQuery, DataPrep, Storage, AppScript & Looker Studio you will be responsible for supporting the business to generate best in class reporting.

    You have the following qualities;

    Key responsibilities:

    • Support the business unlock the potential of data through self-service and automated reporting;
    • Manage and develop BI team;
    • Mentor junior/experienced data analyst and engineer;
    • Review market technology and ensure up-to-date tech adoption;
    • Supervise BI projects including data science initiatives;
    • Develop training programs and attend data conferences;
    • Review and improve existing practices;
    • Promote hands-on training of reporting tools;
    • Collaborate with UK team and IT on data infrastructure;
    • Ensure GDPR-compliance;
    • Drive data-driven decision making;

    Required skills:

    • Strong SQL and database expertise;
    • Strong understanding of business intelligence solutions;
    • Ability to work under stress with limited resources;
    • Experience with BI tools (GCP, Looker Studio and DBT);
    • Team management experience;
    • Microsoft Excel and data analysis proficiency;
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management;
    • JavaScript/Python knowledge (preferred).

    What Toolstation offers

    • An employment contract for 40 hours per week, starting with a one-year contract, with prospects for a permanent position;
