Technical Product manager (Infrastructure & Intergration)

What are you going to do?

In the role of Technical Product Manager you will be part of the wider IT Delivery Team & report to the IT Delivery Manager.

In this exciting new role you will be responsible for the technical proficiency of our Infrastructure & Integration workstream ensuring to drive the development and optimization of our cloud-based solutions within the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of cloud infrastructure, specifically with experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Apigee & Confluent Kafka, plus competency in end to end DevOps lifecycle.

This role as a subject matter expert (SME) requires you to take ownership of the end to end delivery. The key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Develop and articulate the product vision and strategy for cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions.
  • Align product goals with overall business objectives and customer needs.
  • Identify market trends, customer pain points & innovation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and security to define product requirements.
  • Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring smooth transitions between stages.
  • Competently manage technical dependencies across teams, coordinating a consistent API release cadence. 
  • Provide technical guidance on the integration and optimization of GCP services, Apigee API management, Confluent Kafka for real-time data streaming, and DevOps practices.
  • Ensure the architecture and infrastructure are scalable, secure & cost-effective.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability and scalability through DevOps methodologies.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and improve release cycles.
  • Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms are in place for proactive issue resolution.

Do you posess the following Tools?

 

  • Available 40 hours a week & are based in the Netherlands; (at least 2 years.)
  • You can communicate fluently in English; Dutch is a bonus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a focus on cloud infrastructure & DevOps.
  • Proven experience with GCP, including services such as Cloud Storage & BigQuery, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Apigee API management platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka for data streaming.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience with DevOps practices, tools & methodologies.
